At Bridge to Integrated Living, we take several methods of approach to how we treat behavioral and substance use disorders. While every situation is unique, research has shown that a combination of behavioral therapy along with medication is much more effective than treating each disorder individually. For example, in a recent study, an individual was suffering from alcohol use disorder. As a viable treatment option, the patient was assigned motivational enhancement therapy in combination with drug therapy, as the results proved to be an effective method of treatment. It is for this reason we integrate these treatment procedures toward our substance abuse psychiatry methods at Bridge to Integrated Living. We provide the empathetic and scientifically researched approach to evaluate the proper treatment options for our clients.
